Brian Sheedy, Advantage/Endeavour Cycling, with microphone dangling, struggles to hang on.

With the leaders approaching the half way point of the 11 km climb there are only 3 left in the group, Pate, Moniger and Ivan Stevic.

With less than 4 km to go a chase group lead by Liam Kileen, with Wherry and Lowe, caught the break and quickly moved to the front.

Jittery Joe’s Pro Mountain Biker Trent Lowe and race leader Wherry were alone at the front with just over 1 km to the finish.

Lowe road off and went on to beat Wherry by 12 seconds.

Wherry was unable to respond to the attack by Lowe, however, he stayed in yellow and went on to win the overall race by 7 seconds.
