Parties and Scenes and Celebrity Sightings
Jelly Belly had crowd trying out their Sport Beans, jelly beans with carbohydrates, electrolytes, and vitamins C and E.

Kinetic Koffee kept the show energy high with its "human powered all terrain fuel" super-premium coffees. They had a not-so-human scrap heap statue.

Yakima hosted a party after day one of the show. A piñata and adults throwing themselves on the floor for prizes were quite amusing.

Also at the end of day one was Interbike Happy Hour, presented by Shimano. Free beer was flowing and there was no lack of people in line for it.

Local man and supersprinter Rahsaan Bahati (McGuire Langdale) was on hand for autographs at the Bicycles and Ideas for Kids' Empowerment Booth.
We said "hi" to Alison Dunlap (Team Luna) as she celebrated her retirement with a beer party at the Clif Bar booth.
Emma Louise Ledbury is the beautiful spokeswoman and model for Limar Helmets. We missed catching a photo with her the day before, when she was in the same black dress as in the poster, but she was kind enough to allow our ugly mug into a photo with her this day.
George Hincapie (Discovery Channel) drew a large line of admirers at the PowerBar booth.

His wife, Melanie, also garnered some attention as she overlooked George's autograph signing and at one point fixed his tie and collar. Gotta keep her man looking good!

Levi Leipheimer (Gerolsteiner) autographs posters and poses for pictures with fans. At one point, we witness a guy step up with a bicycle brake and info flyer and he begins to pitch Levi about its virtues. Ever courteous, Levi smiles and takes the info. But will he ride it next year?
Eddy Merckx, "The Cannibal", appeared to be the biggest celebrity draw of the show. His line stretched well around the booth carrying the bikes bearing his name.
Tinker Juarez (Siemens-Cannondale) gives us a pose in front of the Nite Rider booth.
Dave Mirra and Ryan Nyquist are talented pro BMXers. Here at the Haro booth, they signed autographs on Haro shot glasses and posters and hung out.
David Zabriskie (CSC) and Floyd Landis (Phonak) teamed up at the FootFitting.com booth.
Celebrity goods Silent Auction supporting the League of American Bicyclists Safe Routes to School Program. Items for auction included a signed Chris Wherry/Health Net National Champ jersey and a George Hincapie signed helmet.
